Color Your Community

Ward 14 Celebration

Let’s celebrate what’s already beautiful in Ward 14.  This summer, we’re recognizing neighbors who bring joy, color, and connection to our community — not with votes, but with flowers, chalk, and care.

Whether it’s a front garden that makes someone smile or chalk art on the sidewalk that sparks joy, we want to highlight it.

Because beauty deserves to be noticed

How to Participate

FLOWER SHOWCASE

Have a front yard full of color? Or know a neighbor whose flowers brighten your walk?

Nominate yourself or someone else. We’d love to recognize the beauty already blooming on your block.

  1. Upload a photo

  2. Tell us the street or neighborhood

  3. Add a short note if you’d like (optional)

SIDEWALK CHALK ART SPOTLIGHT

Seen some amazing chalk art lately — or made your own?

We’re collecting photos of local creativity from driveways, sidewalks, and paths. All ages welcome. Show us what made you smile.

  1. Upload a photo

  2. Include the artist’s name and age (optional)

  3. Tell us where you spotted it (or drew it!)

Small Thank-Yous

Some submissions will receive small gifts as a way of saying thanks for helping color our community.

Past recognitions have included:

  • Garden centre gift cards

  • Trico Center family passes

  • Chalk and art kits

We’ll also share selected highlights on social media (with your permission).

We acknowledge that Ward 14 is situated on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, and the Métis Nation (Region 3). We recognize the deep connection these peoples have to this land, where we live, work, and gather, and we commit to learning from and respecting their histories and cultures.
